"An Unsweet Life"

Posted on March 1, 2012 at 10:40 PM Comments comments (1)

Here is a poem I wrote a few days ago. It was supposed to be a short, 14 line poem that disscussed something you would regret if you died right now. Mine was about not completing my life and living life to its fullest. So here is the poem I wrote, "An Unsweet Life."

When the final bell hs rung,

When death stands before you,

With a crooked grin,

With thirsty eyes.

One wonders if their life was meaningful,

If one met their life goal,

Or fell far from the mark.

To feel empty before death,

Is to have an empty life.

To have a life uncomplete,

To have a life so unsweet,

Sends pangs to one's heart,

And is to end chills,

Down ones heart.

So there you have it. Feel free to comment below on what you think.

Road Trolls: Tailgaters

Posted on March 1, 2012 at 3:05 PM Comments comments (2)

As I said that would include funny stories and topics. Here is a topic that I have wanted to discuss since I became able to drive. Possibly one of the most annoying types of road trolls out there are tailgaters.

So here I am driving down the road, jamming out to my music like a rockstar. Everything is perfect, just the right amount space between me and the car ahead of me, perfect speed, on the dot type of perfect speed that I might add. Now picture this, a car is behind me driven by an impatient shark-like teen that wants to tailgate me or maybe just eat me.

So this happens to me ALL the time. It seems like no matter how fast I go or at any speed for that matter, there is always someone that is right behind me that wants to fuse with my car's behind. I'm pretty sure they are invading my car's personal bubble. I mean isn't there like some sort of car code that states "Thou shall not stick front, inside or too close to another's rear."

What are people trying to achieve while doing this? If I go faster, you are still gonna tailgate me, and if I go slower I'm going to be part of a car sandwich?! This got SO out of hand for me that I actually downloaded a speed odometer app. It connects to a satellite(s) and calculates the speed you are driving by the data it sends back and forth, similar to a GPS device. So here I am with my new app on my phone driving down the road testing my speed. Because there seriously can’t be that many people that want to ride my behind every day, but as it turns out my car's speedometer works perfectly.

Now I'm convinced that tailgating is a virus, yeah that’s right a freakin' virus. One that affects you slowly but surely. Until you, yourself, have the urge to become one with the person in front of you. I started having symptoms of this sinful, immoral, angry, atrocious, bad, baneful, base, beastly, calamitous, corrupt, damnable, depraved, destructive, disastrous, execrable, flagitious, foul, harmful, hateful, heinous, hideous, iniquitous, injurious, loathsome, low, maleficent, malevolent, malicious, malignant, nefarious, no good, obscene, offensive, pernicious, poison, rancorous, reprobate, repugnant, repulsive, revolting, spiteful, stinking, ugly, unpleasant, unpropitious, vicious, vile, villainous, wicked, wrathful, wrong virus! So on certain days, when the person in front of me wants to become the mechanical grandma on wheels, I feel the virus inside of me and my car ever so, inches closer and closer...

So do you have this virus? Are you a Road Troll? What are your opinions about tailgaters? Post your comments below.

Oh and a side note, I uploaded new pictures, so check them out under gallery > photoshop.

Maybe I should attach a freakin' cannon to the back of my car! Like this guy, haha!

Happy Leap Year! Animatester is Leaping Forward!

This is my first "real" blog post since I first started working on this site a couple years ago. I haven't put much into this blog, and my stories/posts have been just me talking about how I fixed this or added that. So to celebrate the unveiling of the site, I have decided to post basically an intro about this site and my plans for it.

Basically as you all have probably seen, this site was intended to host artwork of all different kinds, and for people to view. That much is still true, but I'm going to try and expand on new ideas this year, such as writing more in this blog and possibly making a youtube series, which I'll discuss in furture blog posts, I promise. ;)

Okay, so as a good interesting topic/discussion lets talk about leap years. I'll try and not bore you.

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

So after watching that you were probably like me. I learned so many things about a leap year that I didn't even know about, exceptions to certain years and etc. I was like whoa, mind explosion right there. Oh, and here is an interesting thing to think about. People who have a birthday on a leap year only have "that birthday" every four years. So when they are 4, they will be celebrating their actual 1st birthday, and if they are 44 it will be their 11th actual birthday, weird huh?

Feel free to comment bellow about your thoughts about leap years and leap birthdays, and if you have any funny leap stories to tell post them below as well.

Happy Leap Year!

I have recently been trying to speed up this site by optimizing pictures, fixing links, etc. So I wanted to see how far I have come, so I tested my website's speed against other popular websites and got this.

Fixing Up Animatester one Pixel at a time.

It is not as easy, as one would think, to sit and think up an interesting design. One that is also attractive to the eye, while being original and standing out from other websites. Also you have to customize, de-clutter, spell check, and fix up other parts of the site, but in the end it is all very rewarding. :)

Hopefully soon, I will have the site fixed up enough so I can have a closed beta run.
